Our Top 11 Ways to Wear and Display the Band
Having the “Red & Black” wrist band in a visible place when using the road way has the greatest impact on changing behavior. Try some of the following – they’re all #1’s:
- The Dashboard:Place several wrist bands on the dashboard of your car. This is a great reminder to obey, honor and respect others. They are always there and will remain in place and won’t disrupt driving safety.
- Bike Handlebar: Slip a wrist band over the handle bar on your bike. Put on 2 or 3 and you will always have one on hand to share with a friend. Remember, to STOP at ALL stop signs (every one) and obey the rules of the road.
- Infant Car Seats: Place a wrist band on your child’s car seat. You’ll love doing this for your child. And it's a constant reminder to obey, respect and honor.
- Ankle & Wrists: Young children wear the band around their ankles and adults on the wrist. We love to pledge children – they take it seriously and help adults to do the same. Pledge together and you’ll see what we mean.
- Shoe Laces: Intertwine the wrist band into the shoe laces for walking or running. Pay attention to drivers – they aren’t always focused and those cars are bigger than you.
- Dog Collar: More for you than Fido, but a fun way to remind ourselves to obey and honor.
- Key Chain: Keys are always with us – put a couple of wrist bands around your key chain. Use the extra one to pledge and share with a friend.
- Backpack: Slip several wrist bands over the straps on your backpack – you will be a great friend to share one with and pledge an acquaintance.
- Cell Phone: We like this one a lot. Put a wrist band around your cell phone before you get in the car. It helps remind us NOT to Text or talk unless hands free when driving. Pull over if it's a long conversation - it could save yours and another person's life. We like Oprah’s No Phone Zone pledge.
- Bike Helmet: Attach a wrist band or two to the back of your bike helmet (always wear a helmet when cycling). Share and pledge a friend so they too will be reminded to obey the rules and honor others.
- Lunch Box: Place several wrist bands on the handle of your lunch box. You’ll have extra for friends when walking to and from school.
