BICYCLE+PEOPLE SUNDAY

A Community "vehicle free" Day

Benefiting a Local Individual in Need

Bicycle+People Sunday’s (B+P Sunday) are one-day pledging festivals celebrating and supporting a special individual beneficiary who experienced life-threatening injury as a result of a road way misfortune.

Someone we all know in every community who by an unfortunate accident has suffered and needs help meeting medical expenses that so often alter family responsibilities and lives.

B+P Sunday select a community road way for a day of non-motorized use where participants can easily walk and cycle or take public transportation to and from. The B+P Sunday festival begins with a celebratory keynote address, free distribution of the HTS red and black wristbands, a group promise and pledge of the HTS core principles and short parade honoring the named beneficiary with a place for everyone of all ages and means.

A full day follows of events and activities for every person (toddler to seniors) to participate with sponsor and vendor presentations including; road way safety education, Safe Routes to Schools etc., and a non-competitive schedule of athletic events for children and adults; bicycling (tours & demos), walking, strollers, hikers, running (1, 5 & 10km), along with nutritional foods, music and festivites.

Together HTS and B+P Sunday raise awareness for safe road way use, respect for others, obeying laws and by the means of a symbolic wristband the simple message to obey, pledge and help a deserving local person (beneficiary) in need.
